To whom it may concern, In Northern Illinois it costs me $75.00 to have a 100lb. cylinder filled. That cylinder will heat a 30' Travel Trailer for 2 weeks when the furnace is left to run. If a person was to get a bulk Tank like a 250 gallon or 500 gallon, You get them filled in the summer which is way cheaper than winter time. The advantage of Propane is it never goes bad. I heated a 14' x 70' house trailer with 2 ventless heaters for 7 months on 400 gallons of propane. Ventless is the way to go. 14 1/4 gallons a week. Just sayin.

Wow that is cheap for propane. I am paying $21 for a tank exchange of a 20 lb tank. If I had it filled up at a station it would be about $15 I think.

I use propane as a backup. Wood heat is free. I also plan to use waste oil for heating later on when I get the plans figured out properly.
