Techman,
I am an amateur blogger/html programmer and don't know much about how these forum sites work. However, I've noticed, when I click on a link that goes outside your site, it comes up in the window I'm viewing and replaces your site. Generally people want a clicked link to come up in a new tab. There should be a "Target" setting somewhere that would fix this. It's probably a simple setting you can turn on. You want all your links out going to "_blank". This will keep your site up and open a new tab for the clicked on content. This way, a viewer does not lose your site.
