DYI Boiler

Post by Joust » Sun Mar 10, 2013 2:37 pm

does anyone have any plans on making a DYI boiler system?
I have some ideas but would like to get more from independent sources.

Yes, I have full details on The Do It Yourself World pages.

Go here:

Please do feel free to ask any questions you have along the way. I would be happy to help out.

Thats great.
I guess the same principals could be applied to a boiler with an electric element in it.

Well, I guess so. If you are using an electric element to heat the water and then pump the hot water to a nearby room, then yes, it is the same idea.

Hey Troy
Now that you have the new solar panels can you hook up the hot water heater and refridge (should consider a hot shower a most important comfort item) also did you have a chance to view.Mr Teslonian for his stove

I did not get to look at the stove yet. My bandwidth in the forest is pretty sorry.

My priorities are getting the fridge hooked up and having showers, yes.

To run the fridge I need more batteries first and foremost. Then a pure sine wave inverter so I dont burn up the fridge compressor. Those are not cheap either.

Solar hot water will be easy when I am done unpacking and finding my stuff after the move. I have a hot water heater element I want to use to heat up water with excess solar. Cant wait to find it.
