Wood is prone to mildew or mold and swelling. Linoleum or tiles are better for wet environments.

Is your floor insulated and with a vapor barrier? Drafts can cause that too. If you sealed up your home tight then you could run a fresh air intake entering just under the wood stove so your fresh air will be preheated.
