Re-Purposing a Hot and Cold water Dispenser

Post by Solar98632 » Wed Oct 07, 2015 10:50 am

You seen them in offices, those nice units that sell of about 200 to 300 bucks that dispenses hot and cold water and some elite units has a center spout for warm water.

Well I connected mine up to the inverter and got hot water and to boot it was using 3 bars for cooling the water and heating the water, after the water heater kicked off it was down to using 1 bar.

so here it is mi idea for a DIY and possibly your answer troy to getting both hot and cold water in one simple package.

I found this unit at a garage sale for 40 bucks.
so what can I do with some pex and a shower head?

might have to take short bursts ..but..hey...
would it work..oh and for safety, I would turn the hot water heater's temp down to about 120. :!: :ugeek:

I will have to add the pic later as I get "The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KiB."
I will try this then

I fear the hot water capacity is only a couple cups though.

Wow, that is a surprise. But then again, would you like to shower with a gallon of water? It can be done but its not pleasant on a cold winter day
