Plumbing IBC Tanks Into Rain Water Harvesting System

Post by techman » Fri Jul 01, 2016 8:17 am

Place your comments here related to today's work. Today I finished connecting two 275 gallon IBC totes into the off grid tiny house rain water supply. I left room for expansion and the addition of more tanks later for outdoor summer use. Now we will have 550 gallons of water capacity instead of the little 20 gallon tank we have been hand filling all this time.

Melanie has been working in her new flower bed. She put rock borders around them and planted some flowers.

Chris has been stripping down sheet metal from the old RV porch and shed. He has been working hard out at the fire wood supply recently.

Why no flexible connection between the tanks for wiggle room, expansion, etc.?
Pex tube in a 1 foot loop?

The PVC pipe does wobble quite a bit actually. We have been using the second tank connection for washing hands and filling buckets. It wobbles a lot.
