Hello troy I wanted to tell you the aluminum if its touching pressure treated wood will puncture. That is the reason why the on new construction they use simple spruce not treated on the outside when its cover with aluminum by the siding guy. Just a little heads up hopes that helps

I will check into what amount I will save if I use normal lumber instead of treated lumber. Maybe I can use flashing up the sides of the 2x6 boards and use normal lumber instead. I will see
