I like the first video very much. His info is right on from what I remember. I took a " Master Gardener" course here in texas several years ago and composting can be a bit overwhelming. KISS is the best approach and he does it well. Thanks for the link :)

I also like simplicity. When living out in the forest, off the grid, like I do it is better to keep it simple.

My best compost comes from the worms. If you have a compost pile or container, which ever, dig a divit in the earth and throw it on top your pile. Chances are you will have a decent amount of worms in that small amount of dirt you dug up. Worms eat the leaves and food and leave a wonderful soil in the end. Just make sure you turn it and give it a quick spray of water every now and then. Your plants will thank you in the end.

This was a very good vid! Even I learned something I didn't know! Putting a stick in the compost pile for 24 hours. if it comes out to hot to touch you need to turn it and water it? I just do it automatically! I so have to try this out!

also one can make there own compost using a Mulching Mower with a bag.
