Ok You done did it. You got me roped in to the whole solar thing.
and now this is what I am planning on getting from harbor freight.:

THUNDERBOLT MAGNUM SOLAR Kit 45 watt

Three 15 watt solar panels produce clean, quiet energy
Lightweight, weatherproof construction
Amorphous silicon solar cells for maximum output in both bright and cloudy conditions
Voltage regulator has easy-to-read LED display, 12V You Are A Spammer lighter socket, 5V USB, 3-6-9V DC outlets and two 12V sockets
for the included Light Kit
Includes:
mounting hardware
12V Light Kit
battery terminal clamps
and universal DC power adapter

This will be after we get our sons 12 volt Fridge.
From what I hear this system can grow by adding panels to it.

The solar kit will also be used to power this battery charger.
Out of all chargers this is the first one I have ever seen that has a 12 volt plug in adapter.
I am willing to recievi input from any one that has further knowledge on this subject.

They are expensive, but high quality. I make my own solar panels, but that is not for everyone.

You also need some good golf cart batteries. I use two 200Ah 6 Volt batteries in series for 12 Volts at 200Ah. Advance Auto has them cheap online. And you can get free in store pickup.

Oh, the skillet, ouch.

The HF panels might be just the thing for you especially with less sunlight. They out perform my expensive panels almost every day. Its just that they produce too little wattage for my needs.
