This is the USB Charger with out the batteries on a cloudy day no less.
The Charge boosters alone are powering the devices. It does contain enough power to operate the devices.
With out a load it throws out 7.8 volts DC with a load it drops to 6 Volts on the money.
So Probably a 4rth panel might be ok for Higher drain devices.
I went with the solar spot light as it is a "Cleaner Package " and had larger more powerful cells.
It will "Charge" but will not "Run a Motor"
I was really surprised to see it charging on a cloudy day.
Gave up on battery back up for now.

haha, I think if you hurl a magnet 300 feet into the neighbors window, you have SUCCESS!!!Solar98632 wrote: when it comes to DYI, there is no right or wrong way..Unless the wrong way sends a magnet hurling 300 feet into a neighbors window or shocks the dickens out of a poor unsuspecting passer by.

Ahh, who cares about a few small specs. The things are cheap. Made cheap and sold cheap. It does not make much difference overall in the end. Use em and enjoy em.
