Catching more sun

If the snow helps the solar can you lay tin foil down in the overcast days and catch more sun.
Tin foil is very fragile and would blow away in the wind. Trying to glue it to boards is a nightmare, I tried it once.
And as someone was talking about in another thread on this forum, the increased heat of the solar panels due to the increased solar radiation would reduce the solar panel efficiency. Cooler panels are more efficient.
The best way to go is to use more solar panels for low light days. Or a larger battery bank to get through those days
