Yeah, I have the newer systems that are implementing inverter technology. Att he panel level.they are very nice.

What are the goals of this power plant you are putting together?

The goals
- mimic the behaviour of this little guy
Info how it works

The everlasting PV pump – our oldest display showing how solar panels work even on a cloudy day

- you could say its a battery less water pump with intermittent running on overcast days and in full sunshine runs constantly if there's more than enough power
however the setup above is 25+ years old
and technology's have advanced so much since this everlasting PV pump was made but it concept idea is perfect

However in my set-up is also going to
Reserve "Night time" Power to a LifePO4 Battery bank for night time only running.

If the Night time bank if fully charged
then the Super capacitors will take the full charge use and use Super capacitors as a DAY Mode where Day items will never use the night time bank (make use of the Surplus / Excessive surplus)
However in the day time to run things both AC and DC items

I am going to be using
Electric Double Layer Capacitors, Supercaps > Maxwell Technologies Inc BCAP3000 P270 K04 - CAP 3000F 2.7V THREADED

Thanks Hi-tech! That does look interesting.
I guess you have to go by theory and then tweak things to get the caps charge up to one revolution of the pump. Of course, in full sun it wouldn't make any difference, but cloudy days is where I would see a problem. If you get too much charge then you may be wasting power driving the pump past the one revolution point. If you don't get enough power then again you may be wasting power. Pretty much depends on your setup and the type of pump.
I personally don't have a use for such at this time, but you never know when it may be useful!
(How about using it to fill Troy's water tanks in his tiny house? :D )

Here are two Setup's to show you
- the first one you be stared at 6 Mins 24 sec
12V BoostPack. Replaces auto battery. Works great!

JimW to clear things up I'm not making The everlasting PV pump
Im just mimicking the behaviour of the white box component but in my set-up it will be vastly improved for much longer runs and using more up-to-date components that are a lot smaller and have even larger capacity's

Do remember the components are 20+ years behind in that everlasting PV pump (that caps in that thing are not super caps [they didn't exist 20 year ago] )

So what ever I throw together now Can do Much more that one rotation of a pump cycle with a full Super capacitor :D

In my case it will be 11x Maxwell Technologies Inc BCAP3000 P270 K04 - CAP 3000F 2.7V in series to get that voltage range of 22V - 24V - 29.7V 3000F (When you do the the real maths with the Caps MAX AMP LOAD Draw 1000A Its 22V - 24V - 29.7V storing 20,000 Watts) in a RAW DEAD Short it will run the Short for 3 seconds (Very nice for a Emergency 24V 1000A Spot welder)

Nice thing about electronics & motors they only pull the AMPs and wattage they need to do there job.
and the stuff they don't use remains in the capacitor until its called for

1W Led will last for days pulling from a pool of 20,000W
1W an hour > 60Wh (33 Hours)

Cant wait to see how it turns out for you. Right now the super caps are out of my price range. Hope they come down soon.
