Troy, would it help any to build a roof over the solar panels, just a temporary roof on poles. If you put it up a bit the sun would still be able to hit the panels, but it should help keep the snow off of them. Kinda like a gazebo?

Interesting idea. For winter it might work if I get it high enough. Nice suggestion. When the wood is thawed out though sadly it will be too late for this year. Boy, I like the idea though.
