I saw a guy, I think on youtube, who runs his whole farm on methane produced by his cattle. He has a lot of them though and spent a ton of money to set up the very expensive system.

But he is happy and running the farm with natural gas produced from the waste he had anyway.

It is only useful and viable if you have a lot of waste in the first place.
