Inverter Technologies :Specifically Voltage

I have 3 inverters.
1 the yet to 400 pure sign rated at 110 vac
And 2 harbor freight units rated at 115 vac
What is the difference?
VOLTAGES!
I can run my washer off either my 5kw or 2kw units.it might glitch but it will spin up.
How ever on my yeti 400 it's rated at 110.

Question ?
Does voltage make that big of a difference?

It seems like we need inverters to be a 120vac standard. Not ones ranging from one 110 to 120.

Has any one else came across such things as to where the voltage would run something even though you had the wattage?

There will be varying voltages from one unit to the next and even from one generator to the next. Your devices should be able to handle a small difference.

The most important thing is the quality of the inverter. The yeti should out perform the cheap ones any day. And nothing beats a pure sine wave inverter.

Update: Yettiy is dead, but Have a new 400 watt Pure sine wave inverter.

Oh, the Yeti is not even that old,is it? Is it still under warranty?

I am thinking that the inverter quality makes a difference too. Maybe not just voltage but actually the quality of the sine wave and the inverters ability to handle surges and higher wattage devices. Just my opinion though. Without and oscilloscope you cant be sure
