My tilt tower for my wind turbine

Post by maxlinux2000 » Tue Sep 16, 2014 9:30 am

Hi all,

in 2010 I bought a wind turbine 450W-12V and I built with iron pipes and electric welding a tilting tower.
When I built the tower I had no internet for ideas and photos, so I made it up from scratch.
I've used the idea that the ships are sailing in giving rigidity and strength to the structure.

here are some photos.

in these years ... the tower has withstood winds of 110kmh ...
Of course, in Spain we do not have tornadoes and hurricane, but here again it is not a paradise in bad weather.

Wow! That is beautiful. Very nicely done. Wish you could come over and help me on mine.

Thanks for sharing such fine details and photos.

I am hoping to rig up my own wind turbines temporarily for this year and perfect it next year.
