Home Power Station + Dual Battery bank + Bedini-Cole Window

Post by hi_tech_guy_18 » Sat Nov 09, 2013 6:35 am

Seen this Video ?
Home Power Station
Guy has a Dual Battery bank + Solar + Bedini-Cole Window Motor

Solar > MPPT > First Bank > Bedini-Cole Window Motor > 2ND Bank > Inverter
- one of his comments was the thing was able to keep the 2nd Battery bank Changing over night and use less power from the first bank that only gets power in the day
- He does sell as a kit the pre made parts but at a premium (he wants $ +2000) :o
However its not a hard motor to make

DadHav Channel

Code: Select all

Tells you how to recycle old / new stepper motors (Office Printer Drive motors) and Turns them into SSG Bedini-Cole Window Motors ARE very simple
I do like his 1 Coil Perpetual Motor Circuit

Code: Select all

- he also makes his own RC Brush-less motors

Awesome stuff. Thanks for sharing.

The window motor is hard to adjust properly to self run from what I have studied. And I have a serious lack of wire recently since copper went up. I have to check into using stepper motors. Nice idea.

I say keep your eyes open for old washer/dryer pumps & motors and microwave transformers for copper wire

Window motors can be made self starting but it mean making them stepper motors by adding extra coils + and using a RC Senseless ESC to kick them going
they pritty much self run once up to speed and have a fly wheel load
One thing going for them is they are able to drive workloads (dedicated AC Alternator or DC Dynamo, fan)

I am gutting out microwaves for their wire recently. You can find them all over the place for free.

Maybe next year I will try a self running window motor. I am going to get my work shop on wheels set up permanently.

do not waste your money purchasing this kit. a window motor does not have the torque that a regular bendini pulse motor does. sure they have a very high speed run. I built a 20 transistor pulse motor that can be used to restore very large L-16 batteries and I had very high torque on the drive shaft so I built a regular 3 phase home made wind generator to fit. the rotors were about 9 inches in dia and running around 1100 rpms or less would produce over 103 volts not under load. on load using a 12 volt battery to run the set up while conditioning another battery I ran the 3 phase into a bridge rectifier and I could charge 6 volt batteries,12, 24, 36,48 volts with no problem. ill try to attach a link of a video showing one of the builds.

Any motor can give more torque
After all torque is just dictated by the size of your Outer Rotor to the inner shaft and the number of the active electro magnets acting upon it

Electromagnetism

Torque

All the Rotor is is a more advanced fancy version of a Lever

So the longer your Lever/ Bigger your Rotor the more Heavy WORK it can do

However the key to power generation is RPM Speed with torque and the number of coil pairs that are Paralleled together to increase the amps along with the volts
Getting rid of Magnetic jolt Attraction resistance using multi rotor layers that have rotated offset to cancel the jolt or even make use magnetic resistance jolt to make rotor power for anther offset coil set

You can Make a Gen that makes 1000V but very little amps
You can Make a Gen that makes 1000V and lot of amps. Paralleled Coils
You can Make a Gen that makes 15V and lot of amps.

need wire? easy place to find them right now is xmas lights. 110v capable 3a capable 24awg wire, in most xmas lights its got a single wire running the entire length of the set and then also a whole bunch of 4-6 inch long wires, some sets have two wires going the whole length (the kind with a plug on the end for chaining)... also cheap wire can be had in a lot of other things that is heavier duty, such as old fans people throw away, most fans even the smaller ones have 18awg and larger in the cord, and then a whole mess of magnet wire inside the motor... some of them are epoxy filled but most are not. Even the motors from thrown out heaters and fans are almost always still good, and just need the thermal protective fuse replaced because they overheated due to not enough or NO oil in the motor, people have no idea how to maintain things anymore.

Very good points on getting free or cheap wire. right now, just after the holidays, Christmas lights are cheaper than ever.

I found that microwave transformers have a lot of wire in them as well. Its a lot of work getting it off but it is cheap or free.
