Wall repair

Post by icoffeeus » Sat Sep 26, 2015 12:02 pm

I'm spiffing up my '72 Alaskan Camper & wondering how best to smooth out interior walls to the top unit so I can paint & apply some stencils. Camper was repaired by previous owner with aluminum with diamond design. I don't wish to remove it as it serves a good purpose, but I do wish to make it smooth either by using some spackle filler material and/or some vinyl covering. Whatever I do I need to keep think as the top raises & lowers. Any suggestions?

Lets see if I understand your idea properly.

You want to smooth out the aluminum panels?

Or just the boards above them?
