USB powerbank for survival bag

Post by coster2233 » Wed Feb 25, 2015 10:59 am

Hi Troy, I have seen your video going over your survival bag and I noticed you were missing some form of a power source to charge your phone and tablet. I think to complete your survival bag you should find some kind of power bank.

I have long since been taking a USB battery pack with me. I have a couple now and generally have about 10,000 mAh with me at any given time. For longer treks I also take a folding solar panel with 14 watt capacity and USB outputs.

I never go without power anymore. I also dont worry about a bunch of rechargeable or disposable AA and AAA batteries anymore. The USB powered LED camp lights and power pack are the best way to go I think.

You can see the USB camp lights in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnFMBJsZfyc

And one of the battery packs I carry with me here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpYryUijIX4
