Recovering old battery 12V/150Ah Tubler

Post by manzoor » Thu Feb 06, 2014 2:50 pm

Hi,

One corner in bottom side of my 150AH tubler battery get crack during shifting. There was very small leakage from that corner. I've tried to fix that crack with M-Seal but still there is some leakage. How can I fix it? -------> No. -1

And No 2---->
It is almost three year old battery and was not in use from last one year. (two year used and one year un-used)

Now when I try to use, I found that voltage dropped at 3.16V (it is 12V Battery). How can I recover this?

Sorry for the delay in answering. You can find an epoxy that is acid resistant. There are also different types of silicone that can do the job but its not as secure.

When you fix the battery and fill it back up, the voltage should rise up again as long as the plates did not get damaged due to charging with no water in the battery cell.
