Re: Battery information website.

Thank you Oldcodge. It may be a 1.5 watt panel, but not much anyway. It's one that they provide a lighter plug that you can plug into your cars lighter socket and put the panel on the dash. I was wondering if the 3 watt PWM would be any kind of advantage or not. I've read somewhere that PWM controll...

Ham Radio

I've noticed a few other hams on the forum, but haven't noticed Troy talking too much about ham radio. I thought it would be interesting and (possibly) informative to have a thread on ham radio. I am currently a general class, but only use the 2 meter. I am waiting for money and the right deal to co...

Re: Battery information website.

Looking for some suggestions/info here. I have a tractor with a large battery on it. This tractor will sit for over a month without being used at times. I was wondering about hooking one of the HF 1.25 watt solar panels up to it to keep the battery charged. I also have a 3 watt PWM solar controller ...

Re: How did you break your rib

I cracked my rib one year when I was getting into the boat after going for a swim. Then about 3 months later I was at work helping a co-worker who was having trouble with their pickup. I leaned over the fender, checking the starter cables and the rib popped again! I managed to finally get it healed ...

Re: How big of a setup do I need

Troy, people may want to check their local and state laws. Here in Oklahoma, if you have a grid-tie solar power system, you have to pay taxes on the power you sell to the power companies. For us it works out better to just go with no grid-tie and use separate wiring for solar and grid power.

Re: Welcome to the new chat room

Troy could probably embed his video's here, the question is, would views from here count on his total youtube views? He does derive some income from the youtube views.

Re: Battery info needed

That's kinda what I was afraid of. I was hoping I could restore it, but some things are beyond help. Oh well, on to the next thing! :D
Thanks for your help!

Re: Battery info needed

Thank you DrBill, The battery may be toast, but I think I'll try the desulfator. Can't waste more than time. If it doesn't work I'll take it to Wally World and use as exchange for a lawn mower battery! :D Actually, I would probably take it to the junk metal place, I'm not sure what they are paying f...

Youtube Video

I thought about giving a subject name of " A New Beginning", but decided people might not know what that was about! :D Suggestion - in your startup splash (whatever that is at the start of the video!) you might want to add a note that comments made below the video may not be read and to become a mem...
