The only better fuel mileage advise I can give that I know works is lose weight. The more weight the vehicle has to carry the worse gas mileage you get. Its why we only have dehydrated foods (our own) along with a hand pump water filter from REI, and a two 36 inch pieces of carpet in the trunk area....

We have a year round garden, and do the BackToEdenFilm.com method. In winter we have a section that has straw bale walls and a thick tripe clear sheet plastic roof so light can get in but the heat doesn't escape. We grow and preserve most of what we eat. What we do not grow, forage, hunt we buy from...

Here in the California Sierra bwteeen Lake Tahoe and Yosemite propane is very much off the grid because one owns their propane tank. Some folk have the tank on a secure licensed trailer so they can take it to town to get refilled or often just so they can drive down their half mile or mile long driv...
