Hi Troy, Not been on due to ill health and failing marriage (due to ill health). I enjoy your channel and vids. A lot has happened since I last watched them! I have a few questions if I may. There is NO ulterior motive behind them, just 'trying to catch up'! To catch up with all the vids would take ...

Confusion with LED strips
All, I want to buy a 'reel' of LED strips(seen them on Ebay. they come in a roll). They say they can be cut to length, but how do you use the rest of the 'roll'? You would need to be able to put a connector on the strip to provide power? Or are you just supposed to throw the rest away? Am I missing ...

Re: Battery woes
We are well behind on your vids. (Up to April 2014). The interesting thing is in them you are saying about how the temp affect the battery performance. On a scooter, it's a killer! Everyone who lives 'off grid' has there lives revolving around batteries. what do people see as an alternative way of d...

Re: Battery woes
So, We went to a mobility show and looked at scooters. The result was that We are buying a new scooter. NOT to replace the 'boot scooter' 9the one with the battery problems). This will replace my very old (bought second hand) shopmobility scooter. The new scooter is an 8mph type. Which means that it...

Charged the batteries over night and the 'resting voltage' is 27volts (2x 13.5). Wonder if that is a little low?

Re: Battery woes
Needing some help here guys. My health issues mean that I am in a semi perm state of exhaustion(literally ready to drop!). So things that before I would just be able to sort out, are now a major problem. So we were away for the weekend. My scooter just was a joke (had to have my wife and another lady...

Re: Battery woes
Ok Checked the charge current. 2.1A The batteries are Lucas lsla12-12. They say for float and cyclic use. The Charger seems to be fine. the batteries have declined yet further and now If I get 2 miles, I am doing well. If you turn off and leave for a few mins then the voltage comes back up and for a...

Re: Battery woes
Well it's 27April and the new batteries have died. I can get less then 3 miles out of them. It's very depressing to be severely restricted by a couple of SLA's. This is the second set of replacement batteries and they have lasted no longer. The chargers have been checked (2A output), so not sure wha...

Re: Quality of Life.
Interesting question and answer. We live in the usual (UK) style of house (bungalow aka no stairs). We have running water and electricity, shower etc. I am disabled and so 'roughing it' is not as easy now, BUT when we go camping, we prefer to go 'without' No mains hookup (this has had to be compromi...
