LiFePO4 AA questions

Heeeelp! I took apart a solar powered LED spotlight that wasn't working and it has a 400mAh LiFePO4 battery in it. The battery is a standard AA battery size and is marked 1.2V. Looking around and on Amazon it seems all the LiFePO4 batteries in AA size are 3.2V! :?: :?: :?: :?: Can this bat...

Re: Anyone heard of an aqueous sodium battery?

Well, looking at the prices, it's outside of my budget. A bunch! Same as the Edison batteries (nickle/iron). If they could cut it down to purchasing a single "cell?" so you could build up to the 2.4 Kwh they currently have as a minimum, then maybe I could justify it. (or the 2.4 kwh was th...

Re: Welcome to the new chat room

Maybe you need two computers. One to process the video's and the other to upload them. I post short (usually less than 5 minute) videos and got tired of the slow speed DSL I had. About 1 hour for each minute of video! I went to the next higher speed ($10/month more) and now it takes about 10 minutes...

Re: ATTN Troy

You may have to go on his latest YouTube video and post a message for him to check his forum. I get the feeling he doesn't check here very often. I'm sure he has a lot to do, so it is excusable. :D

In fact, I sometimes get the feeling you and I are the only ones posting here!

I think Troy should pin this one at the top, if he can! I don't go to Ryans website or youtube channel, so can't be of much help. But for anyone that does and there is something that you think Troy can use, save a screen capture. If you don't know how to screen capture ask here with the info of what...

Game Cameras - for game and security

Since the game camera's Troy had have gone dead I thought we might discuss what game cameras he might look at to replace the old ones. One suggestion I have is that he get "stealth" cameras, also called "no glow". I have 3 cameras by Primos, but they are low budget cameras that work well enough for ...

Re: Video idea

I almost never have audio on my video's. But I do a narration when I put them together. Of course, my video's are from game camera's and not a regular digital video camera. But, Troy could also add a narration to his video's. In some instances that could even be done now. Loud equipment, distance fr...

Fall Harvesting

Troy,
Since it is Fall, how about a video of harvesting wild fruits and such things that should be ripening about this time? Harvest and preserving (canning?, dehydrating?, whatever?)
Just a suggestion for a video, may be a bit early but thought I would bring it up.

Thanks Hi-tech! That does look interesting. I guess you have to go by theory and then tweak things to get the caps charge up to one revolution of the pump. Of course, in full sun it wouldn't make any difference, but cloudy days is where I would see a problem. If you get too much charge then you may ...

Re: Ham Radio

I used some of the free study guides I found online. Then took the example tests online until I was consistently making 90% or better. Most online example tests use the same question pool as the actual test, so in effect you are taking the test, just can't use it to get your license. The volunteer e...
