Re: Wind turbine tower

My biggest problem with putting up a permanent structure is that I cannot dig out here by hand. The soil is too rocky. I have to rent some power equipment to do anything out here. So that will wait until spring. I am planning to set up a temporary structure soon though with the materials I have on ...

Re: The Off Grid Project Timeline And The Trolls

There is way too much work to be done for you to waste your time and energy on this mess. Let's get back to the project and quit all this foolish nonsense. Yes everyone knows that subscribers equal money on You Tube and that's why you're getting all this craziness to bring people over to them. Get b...

Chikens will a normal butcher do chickens.

I would like to raise chickens for food as well as eggs. I'm not good at cleaning these birds for eating, so was wondering if the local butcher could do this for me. I do not to gut anything and will pay someone else to do it for. So anyone know if this can be done from a butcher. Thanks Jerry

Dave you must be a man of age to make you so righteous on all of your comments I have read so far. There is nothing wrong with a man having a wealth of living under his belt from past experiences. Troy is steal young, but getting there.

Re: Optimal Off Grid Living Site

Good thoughts Dave. I think maybe the foothills to the mountains in Tn. would be good weather wise anyway. Evan an acre out in the middle of nowhere will have restrictions to it. I bet if you look, Troy you are not supposed to be in an RV. You could build a small cabin, but not an RV for a home. You ...

Re: Having a nice hot shower at the Off Grid Camper

Dave is right Troy. Hopefully the new RV water heater still works. You still must keep propane around for the fridge so what is the big deal about using it for hot water. Try to find as many as those little throw a way tanks and start refilling 'em your self using a full size tank upside down for us...

Re: generator conversion

Sorry my friend but you can't do that. May I suggest a basic electricity class. Those windings you are trying to cut down to two, both produce 240 volts and the windings are phases. A generator is three phase always. So shutting down one phase is not going to give you 110. You'll need a transformer ...
