I have been living in old campers that I got for free and repaired. I do have some videos of my work from about a year ago when I repaired extensive damage in my old camper.

I just got a camper that has bad water damage that I will be restoring in the coming days, so you may want to watch my youtube channel for updates.

Other than that, the easiest thing is to simply remove the rotted wood and replace with new wood of the same size. Most campers are built with 2x2s which is easily found in most lumber yards.

The paneling is about 1/8 inch thick and can also be found in most lumber yards.

You can post some photos if you want to get more detailed help.

I'm sorry to say, Fixing a roof on a RV is NOT Easy Or Simple. I had to totally rebuild a Motorhome roof framing and reseal it, And put a new ceiling in after that was finished. It took about 2.5 months to finish it working on it part time.

It depends on your skill level. I just restored my old RV from the inside and you have probably seen the videos. Yes it did take me three months to get the bulk of the work done but I would not say it was hard work. Just very time consuming.
